Online Maths Tuition

One-to-one and small group sessions

Every one-to-one session is personally tailored to what the student needs to learn and how they learn. I usually start every session with ten key skills questions and from that, and getting to know my students well, I can very quickly ascertain what they need to get the grades they want in GCSE or functional skills exams.

Group sessions work a little differently - the ones for KS3 will cover the national curriculum and the GCSE groups will focus on common problems and topics in the GCSE exams at either a higher or foundation level.

I know that some people may be sceptical about online as opposed to face-to-face tuition, but I have found that online means I can easily tailor my sessions to what the student needs that day, it reduces anxiety for many students and it saves on printing and travel which is far better for the environment.

I have a huge number of resources as well as immediate access to online help. It's not all Powerpoints! I use a Wacom drawing tablet and an interactive whiteboard which means I can write and annotate any document, including past papers, and my students can join in too.

They can also share their homework with me, as most schools use an online platform, and we can work together to make sure they understand what they are currently learning at school.

Prices

One-to-one sessions for KS3/ GCSE cost £40 per hour during after school hours and £35 per hour during daytime hours. A Level sessions cost £50 per hour.

Group sessions range from £12.50 to £25, with a maximum of six students. Group sessions are 45-60 minutes long.

Other Subjects

I work closely with a network of online tutors. This is especially useful if you want to book several subjects for your child.
