English & Drama Tuition

I have taught in mainstream secondary education for 20 years and am now tutoring full-time and loving it. I am also working as an examiner and as a qualified proof reader.

I offer online English Language and English Literature tuition at KS3, GCSE, iGCSE and A Level, as well as creative writing, LAMDA and, of course, anything drama related. I absolutely love my subjects and my approach is friendly, enthusiastic and creative.

There is a lot of content involved in GCSE and A Level, and I structure my tuition to address the gaps in my students’ understanding of theory and text, and then coach them in essay writing, time management in exams, and generally how to achieve their potential in those final exams. This approach drastically reduces exam anxiety and prepares students to be confident and successful.

When I’m not working, I love walking with my family and dog, going to the theatre, reading, and working on my own creative writing.

FRENCH TUTORING FUN

Bérénice Vaucher

Bonjour! I am Bérénice, a French native tutor and I support your teenager to prepare and succeed in their French GCSE.

Learning a new language can be challenging and when learning  English in secondary school I faced difficulties. A lack of  confidence, no safe environment to practice my speaking, no  modern way to understand grammar and conjugation.

Later on, I  understood the importance of learning a new language: traveling in other countries, work opportunities and an open mind to new cultures.

That is why I created French Tutoring Fun, to teach 1-to-1 online  French tutoring. Let’s make French more than a GCSE subject - this is an opportunity for your teenager to stand out from others!

Claire Rooney

My name is Claire and I have been teaching Year 7 - 13 students  since 2008 and have been tutoring, both online and face to face, since 2021.

I tutor KS3 History, GCSE History, KS3 RE, GCSE RE and A Level Religious Studies, which is more commonly called ‘Philosophy and Ethics’.  I get huge enjoyment from tutoring and supporting young people to progress, thrive and grow in their own confidence and subject knowledge.

My tutoring style is both creative and imaginative, whilst ensuring that all aspects of the curriculum are addressed at GCSE and A Level.

I have a first degree in Religious Education Studies from the University of Brighton, which is also where I gained my Qualified Teacher Status.  I have held a number of roles in my time working in schools, including Head of Department and Associate Assistant Headteacher.

I really look forward to hearing from and working with you to help you achieve your goals!
